I know a beach in the Bahamas - Sandy Point, Abaco - which is littered with the ocean’s detritus: worn coral fragments, discarded conchs, sea weed covered shells and rocks tumbled smooth by unrelenting tides. There is a poignant beauty in this flotsam with its scars of time that mark us all.
