I love Childe Hassam's painting, Peach Blossoms, Villiers-le-Bel and was struck by the similarity in the inverted triangular trunk of this tree in Los Gatos, California. I used rhythmic, impressionistic brush strokes to emphasize the movement in the grasses and branches.
