I grew up in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia which was famous for it’s apples. Each spring the valley would be carpeted with a blanket of blossoms. This painting depicts one of the many traditional farm houses that dot the valley floor. This one was found somewhere along the base of the North Mountain. I love how all the movement in the lines of the grass and branches draw your eye back toward the little red and white farm house at the heart of the painting.
