Bamboo Tea grew out of the this little bamboo demitasse from Japan, it called out for a stalk of lucky bamboo and I draped a vintage cheongsam for the backdrop. Initially it wasn't clear to me what bird would feel at home in this scenario until I saw these Japanese White Eyes, also known as Mejiro, while vacationing in Kauai. I loved how the white ring around their eyes echoed the white edge of the teacup and how their lovely chartreuse plumage was repeated in the velvet patches of the dress. A fortunate pairing!
