If you could drink up summer it would be a rosito – my twist on a mojito.
1 oz light rum
1 oz fresh lime ( or way more)
1 oz simple syrup
1/4 tsp rose water
1/4 c mint leaves
4 oz club soda
1/4 c rose petals (organic)
Muddle mint in rum, lime, syrup and rose water.
Stir in rose petals and crushed ice and club soda.
I promised a friend of mine that I would make her one sometime and that time came yesterday as my roses were nearing the end of their first blush. She sweetly brought me a tray of peonies in tiny bottles – Petites Fleurs from Bunches. Flowers for flowers!
We talked of abalone and insane asylums, inspiration and process, volcanos and Macbeth, teacups and travel. -Thanks for a lovely afternoon Kathleen!
What an eclectic conversation we had. I love the photos, beautiful! Looking forward to our next time together.
Me too – so much fun!
