The season for giving has begun! When artist David Stonesifer, on behalf of Jo Erico from the Summit League, asked Los Gatos Museums Gallery members to consider contributing artwork to their annual “Homes for the Holidays” fundraiser we were happy to do our part!
This holiday house tour features a Classic 1920’s Almond Grove cottage, a contemporary California-Mediterranean estate and an eclectic villa with magnificent views and showcases many designers, artisans and artists and this year’s proceeds go to support the Child Advocates of Silicon Valley Transitioning Teen Program!
I chose Hybrid Tea Rose I – To me it looks like a frosty winter rose.
Despite the rainy day the properties looked glorious and the crowds were out! The art was lining the portico over looking the lovely pool.
Lots of volunteers on hand to help direct traffic, like Ninet who is a supervisor for the Child Advocacy program.
Thanks to David Stonesifer who was on hand all day to present the work of gallery members!
Festive shoppers admiring the work.
What a beautiful spot, I could have stayed there all day.
How do you like the blue booties – it’s what all the well-heeled women of Los Gatos and Saratoga were wearing today!
I was delighted to have David introduce me to Marianne McGrath, art curator of the Museums of Los Gatos – I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us at NUMU in the spring!
Here were some of the artisans who were helping to raise money – lots of beautiful bracelets and bags…
…beads…
…jewelry and hats…
… and books! Cheryl and Steve were there from the Village House of Books – so proud to have an independent bookseller in Los Gatos!
And all of this was going on downstairs, let your imagination run wild about the designs on the main floor – or better still hit the tour tomorrow!
