Davenport Blue and Cypress Crescent Juried into Show

          More Good News! Davenport Blue and Cypress Crescent were both selected for the Los Gatos Art Associations Spring Member Juried Show by the award winning artist Mike Bailey who was the juror for the show. The exhibition runs the month of April in the Rose Shenson Gallery at the Triton Museum of Art!

      I just got back from dropping off my painting, Pond Lily Path at the at the Pacific Art League of Palo Alto. I’m pleased to say it was accepted into the nationally juried exhibition Paintings, Paintings by Rachel Lazo (www.rachellazo.com.) The show runs from March 1-28, with an opening reception on Friday March 1 from 5:30 -8:00 pm.

Crazy for Crazy Quilts!

I was thrilled to see this Victorian crazy quilt by Elizabeth Parkhurst Williams which is currently on exhibit at the San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles. I love how these quilts serve as a repository of souvenirs, a diary of remnants and a document of the period. Featured Artist Installation

I am now officially installed as the Featured Artist at the Los Gatos Museums Gallery. I will be holding four mini-receptions each Sunday in January from 1- 3 pm where I will be showing additional work on easels and serving light refreshments. Hope to see you there!

Holiday Reception

It was raining cats and dogs last night but our Holiday Reception at the Los Gatos Museums Art Gallery was packed as usual! Sales were brisk and I was happy to meet with friends and clients (old and new). Whether people came out for the art or the champagne and pepper jack persimmon slices, everyone enjoyed themselves including this cutie pie, Buddy.    

Holiday Reception Tonight!

Looking forward to the Holiday Reception Tonight from 6-8:30 !  I have my Shell Grave painting on display (which takes up a lot of real estate on it’s own) while I’m busy in my studio preparing work to be featured in the gallery this January as Featured Artist.  Tonight the tree will be laden with paintings and there will be oodles of member artists, drinks and hors d’oeuvres in every hand. …
